The heading says it all really doesn’t it ?

Well, not quite. I’ll post about the trip and the truely amazing experience I’ve had training there (and the bargain shopping in Bangkok in week 2) as soon as I’ve had a chance to sort out the photos that I haven taken.

Might be a while because there are a lot of good photos on other people’s cams.

Articles fixed

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

I just realised that I must have accidentally broken two of my older articles when I upgraded to the latest Wordpress version recently.
My apologies for that.

The articles affected were :

http://www.webkroll.com/popups-are-not-all-bad/

and

http://www.webkroll.com/dynamic-text-field-tweening-with-zigo-engine-fuse/

The former didn’t work anymore at all, since I uploaded a broken version of the JS code that managed the popup links, the latter simply had two demo popups that didn’t work as intended.

Both articles have now been fixed.

Change is good 2.

So, after 10 years I have finally decided to chop my long hair off and I am actually liking the new “me”.
I was fairly keen on the idea of not having to worry about taking ages to dry my hair, it getting in the
way on a daily basis at work, training or anywhere else really.

I have to say Kay’s mom did an awesome job and I am very pleased with the result.
I think you should visit her New Look Unisex Hair Salon, or even better drop in for an awesome haircut yourself.

That’s all.

I just found this over at Ctrl-Alt-Del, and couldn’t help to post it here as well.
This must be THE most excruciating customer support phone call I have ever heard. The fact that the matter is SO SIMPLE that any middle school student would understand it after the first explanation makes it even worse.

The whole story and a transcript of the phone call is here:

90% of the audio of this call can also be found here:

Simply unbelievable.

Kronos & the gods of backup

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

Apart from posting in the wee hours of the morning, I have been working to get the better pieces of my various portfolios into some sort of presentable format to put them into yet another ‘portfolio’ section, this time on this site.

The problem with this undertaking - apart from the fact of finding the actual pieces of data i want to feature - is that I seem to have pitched myself against Kronos (or Chronos) the god of time (he doesn’t like to give people a lot of his resources these days). My second opponent(s) are the tiny tiny gods of backup - yes tiny tiny - who seem to have wandered off with at least one of my oldish backup discs.

Stay tuned to find out if I can make it against those guys.

That’s all, Ben out.
